They help reduce \u201cbad\u201d LDL cholesterol while increasing \u201cgood\u201d HDL cholesterol. Olive oil is also believed to play a preventive role against certain types of cancer and osteoporosis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Below are four key reasons why olive oil deserves a place in your daily diet:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reduce the Risk of Breast Cancer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">A Spanish study found that women who followed a Mediterranean diet enriched with extra virgin olive oil had a lower risk of developing breast cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The study included approximately 4,300 women with an average age of 67. Participants were divided into two groups: one consumed one liter of extra virgin olive oil per week, while another consumed 30 grams of nuts daily. A third control group followed a low-fat diet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over five years, 35 cases of breast cancer were diagnosed. Women in the olive oil group showed, on average, a&nbsp;<strong>68% lower risk<\/strong>compared to those following a low-fat diet. The group consuming nuts did not show a significant reduction in risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Supports Cardiovascular Health<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Olive oil is a rich source of monounsaturated fatty acids, which help reduce the risk of heart disease by lowering blood lipid levels and preventing arterial blockage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Numerous studies support the protective role of extra virgin olive oil against cardiovascular diseases. It has long been known to reduce total cholesterol and low-density lipoproteins (LDL) in the blood.
